Castrapol celebrates in fine style. All of the streets in the town centre are covered in petals to form a wonderful quilt.

All roads are closed for 24 hrs to allow the artists time to decorate. The children are also allowed to stay up for the full 24 hrs.

A most amazing building, the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao.

All of the roads around the museum were closed for about an hour as this bicycle race, a Spanish classic, came thro the town.

The steepness of Cudillero is amazing, most of the the streets are really staircases about 5 ft wide.

A most wonderfully decorated street fountain.  The murals cover all three floors.

Both museums we found in Gijon were free although this one was having all of its exhibits changed, the other had some really splendid paintings.

We had climbed this 1500 ft peak, called San Roque, just to see the view of the harbour in Viveiro

At over 50m high it offers superb views over the town and harbour of Getxo.  The bridge is the oldest transporter bridge in the world

Sunset in Getxo, Bilbao's harbour. And in spite of  the dockside cranes it was a smashing sunset.
